Aspen
Mesa Estates Homeowners Association
Annual Meeting
February
25, 2014
Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm.
In attendance: Frank Chudy, Barbara Brett, Ann MacLeod, Nancy Miller, Scott
Leslie, Pat Henry, Marilynn Cook.
We have Loren Sorber from Aspen Tree Service with us to discuss the Pinon
IPS Confuses and Twig beetles which have infested areas locally. Fred Wooden
has had an infestation on Caballo which he has addressed with the help of
Aspen Tree Service. It is important to practice a pro active regime. Water
drought stressed trees, do not keep infested material on property or near
property after trees have been eradicated. Traps have been effective and we
may install some around the subdivision at an expense of approximately $250
each which includes monthly monitoring. Spraying would be $290 pr. hr. and
roughly 30-40 trees can be treated in that time.
SWAPP remaining grant money is to be put towards water protection signs and
for water protection information to be put on our website.
Please utilize the website for upcoming events and general information regarding
the subdivision and H.O.A.
The water main between Fender Lane and Escalante on Sierra Vista broke this
winter. It is one of a number of breaks that have been repaired in that stretch
and this main line will need to be replaced. Approximate cost will be around
$60,000. We will put it out to bid. Backflow compliance is complete as of
February 15th. We have 100% of our homes protected with the appropriate devices.
We are now sending reminder cards for annual testing to be done.
Nancy and Frank were re-elected to the board for another term.
Annual block parties have been a success! Thank you Nancy Miller for your
efforts each year. We will have 3 dumpsters this year.
Thank you to those homeowners that attended the meeting.
Thank you PJ and Jo for your wonderful fare at this years' meeting!
Meeting adjourned at 8 pm.
The next meeting will be at Marilyn Cook's home on April 7 at 7pm.
