Aspen Mesa Estates HOA Special Meeting:
September 14, 2020

Meeting called to order at 7:15pm.

In attendance: Mark Walker, Mary Leslie, Barbara Brett, Tom Fisher, Pat Henry, Danny Popish, Susan Zimmer

Architectural Control and Guidelines - Second Read:
Motion for approval brought by Danny Popish. Barbara Brett gave the second and all remaining members voted to approve the update guidelines.

Review of the Multi System failure/water outage over the Labor Day Weekend:

Pump #1 was being worked on and was waiting on parts for repair.

Pump # 2 had a capacitor replaced and when that repair was completed the repair man forgot to turn the well back on.

Well # 3 is a slow producer and was being stressed because 1 & 2 were not working. The alarm was down, when the water level goes down to 5 feet in well # 2 a phone call should have been made triggering a repair. This did not happen.

New steps in place to address these problems:
1. We are adding a phone line to Well house #1. We are switching from Century Link to Xfinity.

2. When work is to be done on a pump the board will be notified and work will only be done on 1 pump at a time.

Fire Mitigation:
Homeowner Tim Young presented some recent findings on fire mitigation. In lieu of recent fires Tim contacted the fire department. Since the Basalt Mtn fire, Eagle County, Forest Service, BLM and the Fire district have mapped the Missouri Heights area. AME sits on the edge of the El Jebel hill putting us in a vortex. If a fire comes up that hill AME is in trouble.

If you are interested in having Eric Lovegren visit your property and address wildfire threats, then he will come to your property for free.

If you want to mitigate your property and get the trees, branches to the roadside then Eagle County will pay for half of the cost to remove those items from the roadside. They would like a coordinated effort so if you are interested contact Eric and schedule your appointment.

September/October are a great time for this.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15 pm
