Aspen Mesa Estates HOA Special Meeting:
October 12, 2020

Meeting called to order at 6:20pm.

In attendance: Mark Walker, Pat Henry, Barbara Brett, Danny Popish, Tom Fisher, Mary Leslie, Susan Zimmer, Lu Ann Craig


Financial Report:
Our year ends on 9/30/2020. Reporting year end cash in the bank/money fund is $147,766.43. We have $3,042 in receivables due.

Last year we spent a total of $65,503 on the water system:

• $31, 605 maintaining our water system
• $25,178 on updating the water meter encoder & transceiver
• $8,720 on a new lap-top to read the meters and billing.

Financial report dated 10/10/2020 we have $144,483.33 in the bank. We have $36,571.67 in receivables due.

We do have some homeowners that have accounts 90 days past due. We are not charging any interest on those past due accounts, but it would be appreciated if those accounts could be brought current. Those homeowners will be receiving letters/phone calls from Pat.

Architectural Control and Guidelines have been updated and recorded with Eagle County. The website is being loaded with these new documents as well.

Back-Flow:
If you have not had your device inspected please call Jim Jochem at 970-274-1402 to schedule your inspection. The state requires that we provide them proof of all homeowners being inspected.


"Keep MO Heights Rural" Group Update:
We included in the October billing a printout from this group on the proposed change in land use for the White Cloud area off Harmony. Barbara Brett put forth a motion to donate $1,000 to help this group fight this development. Tom seconded the motion and all board members voted to approve the $1,000.00 expense.

Chicken Survey:
A survey was mailed in the October billing to see how homeowners felt about having chickens allowed in our subdivision. Please vote and return the survey in the self-addressed stamped envelope.


Fire Mitigation:
Also in the October billing are instructions for contacting Eric Lovegren, Eagle County Wildfire Mitigation Specialist to survey your property with you and advise mitigation strategies. Eagle County and the BLM have money available to homeowners to help with the removal of dangerous fuels from your property.

Water Repair:
We have a water repair in process on Caballo. A new valve has been ordered and within the next 10 days EPC will receive the part and install. We will let homeowners know via constant contact when the water will be shut off for the installation.

Next meeting November 17, 2020 in Susan Zimmer's garage at 7:00pm.
