Aspen Mesa Estates HOA Special Meeting:
9/30/2021, 2021

This meeting is being held at Pat Henry's house.

Board Member's in attendance: Barbara Brett, Mark Walker, Stephanie Williams, Susan Zimmer and Pat Henry.
Meeting called to order 7:02 pm.


Addition to the agenda: Dog poop, dogs off leash, Dogs barking, speeding and paving the roads.

Financial Report as of 9/30/2021:
We have $212,009.31 in the bank.
We have accounts payable of $550.86
We are opening an additional bank account to put some of our cash reserves in. It will be with the Bank of Colorado.


New Construction:
Both new construction homes are using water. We are working with the meter company to set up the new homes in our system. Both homes will be billed for all water used.

By laws:
Our current documents have been reviewed by the HOA's new attorney, Jonah Hunt. Jonah specializes in Home Owner Association Law and he has indicated that we have several organizational issues with our documents and some items that are no longer correct under the current laws.

We will be posting his recommendations on our website. We encourage you to review the HOA's current documents on the web site as well as these recommendations. We will be working with Jonah to update all of our paperwork. This will be an ongoing process over the next few months and we will make every attempt to keep all of you in the loop as we move forward.There will be several opportunities for you to provide input as things are developed. Before the work is finalized the recommended product would need to be brought before the entire membership for a vote.


Please let any Board member know of any concerns or suggestions.

Road Committee update:
The paving the road committee is still collecting bids.


Speeding:
We will be speaking with road and bridge about buying speed bumps and signs.


Water Tanks:
We are moving forward with a review of water tanks 2 and 3. We are working on getting bids to repair and get up and running

Backflow:
We have 1 home left. We will attempt one more time to get a hold of him. Then we will proceed with shutting the water off!
Thank you all for having your backflow device inspected. This is a requirement by the State of Colorado.


Financial Audit:
We are looking for an accountant to do an audit review of our books. We are still interviewing firms.


Open Fires:
Open fires are not allowed in our subdivision. This includes propane fires. We will be holding further discussions to review the pros and cons of propane fires but at this time they are an open flame, and not allowed.

375 Escalante:
Working with the homeowner and Eagle County to get this completed.

Next meeting Nov 1, 2021 at 7:00 at Barbara Bret's home.
